Our Vision

 

The Santa Rosa Academy was approved by the Menifee Union School District Board of Directors in April, 2005.  The school’s founders were determined to “create a school that is highly regarded for academic excellence within a flexible and innovative learning environment that will effectively develop, sustain and enhance the skills necessary to be life-long learners and productive citizens.”

 

Many parents are seeking options for their children in a small school environment that maintains high academic and behavioral standards.  We offer a K-12 Home Study/Independent Study program, our K-8 two day a week Home Study/Independent Study program or our Site Based Campus for full time students in grades K-12.  These options further provide a program that aims to meet your child’s needs.  The site based campus will eventually have a Technology Center, a Performing Arts Center and sports programs for students on all tracks.  Internships, Community College coursework and Community Service are also included within the program for our high school students.  

 

College Preparatory coursework will be offered and students may move through the program at a challenging pace determined by their Individual Learning Plan.  Students participating in activities outside of the school may be able to incorporate that participation into their school day and obtain course credits for it.  Each student will assist in designing their high school program and set goals for themselves and, along with their Educational Advisor and/or Counselor will track their progress towards college and/or a career path.
