Santa Rosa Rangers outmuscled by Calvary Murrieta Warriors, 9-3

1/10/12 – The Santa Rosa Rangers lost 9-3 to Calvary Murrieta Warriors Tuesday at Los Alamos Sports Park despite Tim Pacheco’s two-hit day at the dish.

In the top of the second, the Santa Rosa Rangers grabbed the early lead, 2-0. Josh Lambert kicked things off for the Santa Rosa Rangers with a single. A stolen base then moved Lambert from first to second, Pacheco then tripled, scoring Lambert. The Santa Rosa Rangers pushed more runs across when Pacheco scored on an RBI single by Sean Drabek.

Calvary Murrieta Warriors stayed on top until the final out after taking the lead in the third, scoring two runs on an RBI single and increased their lead with three runs in the fifth.

One of the Santa Rosa Rangers runs crossed the plate in the top half of the seventh, making the final score 9-3. A hit by pitch fueled the Santa Rosa Rangers’ comeback, but the Rangers came up short. With the loss the Rangers record is now 3-5.
